Every school-going child needs a good morning routine. Some people are not morning people. However, life with children doesn’t care much about our sleep patterns. It doesn’t matter if we like it, kids love being involved in school and going back to school. Here are some tips to help parents.
Set a timer
Set timers for each activity that your child(ren), must complete each morning to make them work on time. It can also be more fun if you instill a sense of achievement and the desire for them to beat the clock so they can complete their responsibilities quickly.
Get half-ready the night before
You will have enough time to prepare for the day by doing as much the night before. The bag should be packed with all the essential items that you will need for the next day. Check the schedule to make sure that you have all of the necessary books.
Lunch options should be limited
Make sure to prepare snacks and lunches the night before. Children can be involved in the decision-making process. Ben Bernstein, a performance psychologist and author of many books, said that “Crush Your Test Anxiety” teaches you how to be calm, confident, and focused on any test. He added, “If you give your youngster two options, it’ll help them feel like they’re a part of decision-making .”
Keep a routine
Each day should be as routine and predictable as possible. Keep the same routine for before and after school. Get up and wash your face. Have breakfast. Then, get ready to go.
